‘No Easy Decision’ Special: “Markai and James take cameras on their difficult journey as they decide how to proceed with a second unplanned pregnancy and talk with Dr. Drew about making the toughest decision of their lives.”
Notice how it is the “toughest decision of their lives,” whose lives? The parents, I’m sorry, I meant to say the procreators of the “blob of tissue” inside Markai’s body.
It truly angers me to hear these two people ramble on how abortion is “the best choice for them,” how the facts about the consequences of abortion both in women and obviously in babies were distorted, and just how aborted our sanctity of life ethic has been in the United States since 1973 (that is, legally, there have always been abortions but since 1973, abortions are now legal).
More than anything, this video just confirms the Biblical testimony of man’s radical depravity. If you’re reading this and you hold to man being a neutral being who can make moral choices without any sort of influence, you must realize that is far from the Biblical truth.
“Fetuses” are now a burden and a “blob of tissue” that will disturb the lives of its progenitors. Even the man in this video, James, said that “God gave them a path to travel and a choice.” How far does this autonomous will go? How far will this be used to blame it on God and not on those who perpetrate this evil?
I believe that a reason why this way of thinking is increasing is because of the watering down of who God is. A sermon like Jonathan Edwards’ “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” would be too “out of vogue,” “too intolerant,” “too unloving.” And yet, when a pedophile rapes and tortures girls and boys we react just like the Jewish leaders and people did in Luke 23:21: “Crucify him! Crucify him!”
I have become very unpopular to some people because of how “unloving” I am in some of my posts. But let me appeal to Scripture itself to establish once and for all that God is a Just, Sovereign, Merciful, and compassionate God, but who above all is a thrice Holy God (Isaiah 6:3).
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature,have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”
How unloving of Paul isn’t it? How “judgmental” of him to call people “debased, unrighteous, evil, covetous, envious, murderers, deceivers, gossipers, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.” But wait, the worst part is this, “Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die,” Woah Paul! I know you’re an Apostle of God but how unloving of you! This is the prevailing thought these days, that you must only be loving to people and offer half a gospel that is also watered down.
If you are a Christian, then your highest and only authority must be the testimony of Scripture. If you recoil and writhe at a God who would say such things of the “natural” man (1 Corinthians 2:14), then you have done what Romans 1:21-23 says,
“For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.”
Which is a violation of the first commandment in Exodus 20. You have created a god that suits your definition of morality, justice, fairness, and goodness. If you’re reading this and you say “that’s not just! that’s not fair!” then clearly the term “justice” and “mercy” must be defined.
Justice: the administering of deserved punishment or reward; the maintenance or administration of what is just by law, asby judicial or other proceedings.
Mercy: the discretionary power of a judge to pardon someone or tomitigate punishment; to be at the mercy of someone.
In other words, justice is getting what you deserve from birth (hell) and mercy is not receiving what you deserved.
Those who abort babies and those who favor it are slaves to a debased mind and are creators of evil and perpetrators of it. Not only that, but they approve of those who do so, becoming thus participators of it and more specifically, haters of God.
Like God told Cain “And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.” (Genesis 4:10, ESV). So will God one day demand from the hands of those who shed the blood of these unborn people their blood.
One of the seven things God hates and abominates is the “hands that shed innocent blood” (Proverbs 6:17, ESV).
“For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
evil may not dwell with you.
The boastful shall not stand before your eyes;
you hate all evildoers.
You destroy those who speak lies;
the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.”
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
The mere sight of the Lord in His full glory was enough to reveal Isaiah’s nakedness before God, like Adam and Even in the garden, and expose his sinfulness and rottenness before the Majestic King. All boasting of sin and evil flee from before the presence of God Almighty, and all righteousness shines forth from the train of his robe.
“Then the earth reeled and rocked;
the foundations also of the mountains trembled
and quaked, because he was angry.
Smoke went up from his nostrils,
and devouring fire from his mouth;
glowing coals flamed forth from him.
He bowed the heavens and came down;
thick darkness was under his feet.
He rode on a cherub and flew;
he came swiftly on the wings of the wind.
He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him,
thick clouds dark with water.
Out of the brightness before him
hailstones and coals of fire broke through his clouds.
The LORD also thundered in the heavens,
and the Most High uttered his voice,
hailstones and coals of fire.
And he sent out his arrows and scattered them;
he flashed forth lightnings and routed them.
Then the channels of the sea were seen,
and the foundations of the world were laid bare
at your rebuke, O LORD,
at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.”
and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.
We all fade like a leaf,
and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”
Though God is holy and would be just as merciful and loving to cast us all into hell, the very fact that you are still reading this is proof that God is merciful and gracious. DO NOT let one more moment pass before you bow before the Creator and King of heaven and earth! It’s not about a little formulated prayer, it’s not about being popeishly declared saved because you repeated a prayer, the proof is on your life. If you are a Christian, is your life showing “fruits worthy of repentance” (Matthew 3:8)? Or are you depending on that little prayer to save you and give you a license to sin? You will know you are a Christian because of the work the Holy Spirit does in your life, not because 43 years ago you prayed a prayer. No, my friend, the act and moment of passing from the “kingdom of darkness unto the kingdom of His beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13-14) is a process, not a one second action. “By their fruits ye shall know them” (Matthew 7:16).
If you are a Christian, then make this your goal for 2011,
“Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.” (2 Peter 1:10, ESV).
“For God did so love the world, that His Son — the only begotten — He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during.” (John 3:16, YLT).
“And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come; and he who is hearing — let him say, Come; and he who is thirsting — let him come; and he who is willing — let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17, YLT).
This is the gospel brethren and friends. It was because of this preaching that the Apostles, and Christ, were tortured and annihilated. Let’s be true to God’s Word and carry Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20, ESV).
