Four Points On Supreme Court Ruling of DOMA

  1. Government has no business or authority to regulate marriage in the first place. Give the government the power in that area, they’ll take much, much more of others, as we have been seeing in the police-state complete disregard for the Constitution as the people silently watch and let it destroy it amendment by amendment, point by point.
  2. What did you expect anyway from an already morally bankrupt, God-hating government?
  3. As horrible as the corruption and the depravity of this world is, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a sign the Lord is coming back soon. These things have been common in every generation and the end has not come. If anything, these are simply the beginning of pains, not the end necessarily. We must be careful to avoid newspaper theology (that is, getting our theology from the newspaper rather than scripture).
  4. “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” – 1 Tim. 2:1-2.
